Climate Change the way forward

May 31, 2011

When the Labor government promised not to introduce a carbon tax, as a primary election promise, did they believe that promise?

Now a Carbon tax is the most important and urgent issue facing the worlds future, Labor will spend a fortune ensuring the people now back the tax, their friends in GetUp will do like wise, and the big polluters will back them all the way to the bank, ask yourselves why?

While the science continues to be debated, for over a decade now, on exactly what drives changes in the climate, very few people have their eyes on the game. The fact is while believers and deniers of any part of the argument stand their ground, we should never forget we all have one thing in common, we want to both protect the environment and look towards an increase in renewable energy, for our children’s and our planets future.

A new tax will as usual be paid by those who can least afford it, and if we look to the countries that have introduced a Co2 based tax or credit scheme, the winners end up being the very ones who do the most polluting, doomed if we do, doomed if we don’t, is not the answer.

I am what they prefer to label a denier, as my research over the past decade, leads me to believe Co2 is not the driver of climate change, mind you I am not a denier that the climate changes, because it always has and always will, and I like the idea of more Co2, if it indeed will make us warmer, not just because I hate the cold, but with unsustainable population growth on the agenda, we will need increased crop production to feed such numbers, and increases in Co2, increase plant growth and crop yields.

The really stupid issue that is on the agenda, is crop diversion to increase bio fuel production, really what are they thinking, more people, less food stocks?

Anyway lets get back on topic, if we all agree on saving the environment and increasing investment in renewable energy, why in the hell are we still cutting down old growth forests, why is the growing of Cannabis of the agenda, a very worthy crop is such time, for all purposes on the agenda (feed, textiles, bio-fuels, carbon sinks?

Why cant we look towards rewarding innovation in clean fuels and renewable energy, rather than tax the big polluters, if I invent a new clean fuel source, do any of us believe I will get government support, no chance, yet in Europe it has been proven the big polluters have the most to gain from a carbon tax scheme, makes no sense.

Europe’s $100 billion market has been hit by a series of scandals over the past two years, including tax fraud and the re-sale of used carbon credits, and trading was temporarily shut in January after the theft of millions of emissions permits, and in this time, Co2 emissions are still on the rise, not a path Australia should go down.

Poor old Norway, introduced a carbon tax scheme and emissions have risen 43%, the big polluters just pay more tax, which they simply pass on to the end user, so ramming through the new carbon tax, with out open debate, or blindly following the governments position, is not a very educated approach from any person with our long term future as a primary concern.

Some facts in all these arguments are very clear, Australia only emits 1% of Co2, so if we shut down tomorrow, throw away the keys to the car, and sit freezing in our dark homes, we would have very little impact on world Co2 emissions, to be honest it would make matters worse, as our industry would simply relocate to countries whose industry standards are not as competent as ours, leading to increase global Co2 output, all very confusing isn’t it?

More people, less food and less power and water, is not the catch cry of an informed government, yet they tell us a new tax will change the weather, my god, they couldn’t even run a grocery watch website, of safely install ceiling insulation!

The People are already taxed enough, and big business get away with paying bugger all, so any scheme to enrich our future, must be based on fair and just terms, be open and transparent, and only reward those who put in the hard yards.

I would consider that a smart move to address change if we are indeed to face the predictions of the UN’s IPCC, would be to initiate adequate infrastructure projects to ensure a plentiful supply of power, food and potable water as a primary hoal, that we would as a world player, be ensuring that we are putting all our resources into preparing for what may lay ahead, be it cooling or warming of our climate.

Funnily enough our respective governments seem to be going in the other direction, the diversion of our food production to satisfy the green fuel agenda, the reduction of reliable power sources for the same reason, and very little advancement in storm water harvesting and increased water storage to ensure adequate food production.

I will leave you with this note; how do they measure Co2 emissions, have any of you seen a meter on a chimneystack? No you haven’t, so any scheme to tax Co2 is based on assumptions and the facts and figures supplied by the very people who emit the most pollution, do you trust them? Do you honestly believe you can trust anything our governments tell us? Do you believe any who invented the answer to our problems will be hailed heroes and receive huge government grants? I sincerely hope not.

The truth and all the answers are out there, and simply awaiting honest and open debate, so until such debate is on the agenda, lets agree to disagree, and unite in our planets best interests, its future.

”Skeptics and believers unite to debate the way forward” is the headline we need to see, but when did we last have a government interested in our views L

Freedom run supporters Intimidated by South Australian police

The Rann Labor government continues with spin over substance

Having just attended my 3rd South Australian freedom bike run on Saturday the 28th May, held by the United Motorcycle Council, the huge waste of resources again appalled me, with the Rann Labor government, apparently more interested in spin over substance.

Over my many years, I have yet to witness any problems on any motorcycle club runs, the many fund raisers for local hospitals or children’s charities, and the more recent freedom runs, a direct result of bad legislation in the first place.

I attended the first freedom ride, in protest at State legislation that’s sole intent was to remove our most basic rights, the presumption of innocence, the right to a fair trial and freedom of association, it could be considered the increase in attendance at recent runs is part and parcel the result of the intimidation used by the Rann government during the runs themselves.

Every route into Adelaide where the run was to leave was blockaded by large groups of Police, somewhat akin to a terrorist alert, every rider kept for around 30 minutes in the many supposedly random blockades, other than wasting huge resources and the time of innocent protestors, I believe the result of this waste of tax payers money was one a lot of angry protestors, sadly most revealed they were used to it these days.

The media were out in force, and the police presence was huge, let alone the many unmarked cars with plain clothed officers videoing our every move, this is the forth time I have seen such a massive PR campaign by our beloved Rann government, yet when I approached his government to lobby for one million dollars to clear our children with disability’s critical waiting lists, the money could not be found, I can see why.

The United Motorcycle Council did their utmost to keep the run both professional and keep the police up to date with the route of the day, which the police used in their favor, once the various supporters left the city, it was only a matter of minutes before they were lead into the first ambush, with in a short distance of the riders entering the Southern expressway lead by police.

Hundreds of police simply lined the road, every rider had to be again checked, photographed just ensure they hadn’t missed any,  after over an hour or so, we were again led on the ride by the erratic driving of the police escort, at times 60kph under the posted limit, which in itself was very frustrating and dangerous, arriving at the first stop hours late.

After a quick stop for what was now lunch, with in ten minutes of leaving, you guessed it, another massive blockade, by now the weather had turned and it started raining, a blessing in disguise for the many who attended, as it has become apparent the police can not work in the rain, so they simply packed up there dozens of vehicles and left.

I believe the case is, the Rann government are still trying to sell their failed legislative attacks on our rights, by being unable to come up with a better sell than the labeling of all bikers as criminals, as if some how our choice transportation determines our every action!

Mr. Rann under estimates the intelligence of the South Australian people, hundreds of police and millions of wasted taxpayer dollars chasing the boogie man with no results, let alone his own legislation failing in our both our supreme and our High courts for which the Rann Labor government wasted many millions more of our tax dollars, even one of the bike clubs were awarded a handsome settlement, from tax payer money, compliments of Mr. Rann arrogance.

Mr. Rann makes a habit of labeling all bikers criminals, well the only criminal actions found during these protests, were the attack on the people’s rights and the huge diversion of taxpayer’s money on a failing pubic relations campaign.

Every South Australian deserves the right to a fair trial, to be awarded the presumption of innocence, the freedom both associate with who they choose and who they prefer not to, and in every case, our

How many police does it take to check a licence and take your photo, and how many times

hard earned tax dollars to be spent in our best interests.

The Rann Labor government wastes far too much money on their mighty spin machine, as if winning elections is more important than serving the electorate, and don’t we all know that.

Fluoride the truth Australia

May 22, 2011

The Truth About ‘Fluoride’

“what every Australian should know”

Fluoride used by Nazis to sterilize inmates and make them docile. Fluoride a key dumbing down ingredient of Prozac and Sarin nerve gas — poisons of choice for all tyrants

First of all, it needs to be stated that the ‘substance’ referred to as ‘Fluoride’ is a misnomer – there is no such substance listed in the periodic chart of the elements, or in the prestigious CRC handbook, or in the sacred ‘bible’ of the pharmaceutical industry – the illustrious ‘Merck Index’. Instead, we find a GAS called Fluorine – and from the use of this gas in various industries such as aluminum manufacturing and the nuclear industry -certain toxic byproducts are created which have ‘captured’ fluorine molecules. One such toxic, poisonous ‘byproduct’ is called sodium Fluoride – which according to the Merck Index is primarily used as rat and cockroach poison and is also the active ingredient in most toothpastes and as an “additive to drinking water”. But sadly, there is much more to this sorry investigation.

Did you know that sodium Fluoride is also one of the basic ingredients in both PROZAC (FLUoxetene Hydrochloride) and Sarin Nerve Gas (Isopropyl-Methyl-Phosphoryl FLUORIDE) – (Yes, folks the same Sarin Nerve Gas that terrorists use in terror attacks!). Let me repeat: the truth the Western people need to understand is the fact that Sodium Fluoride is nothing more (or less) than a hazardous waste by-product of the nuclear and aluminum industries. In addition to being the primary ingredient in rat and cockroach poisons, it is also a main ingredient in anesthetic, hypnotic, and psychiatric drugs as well as military NERVE GAS! Why, oh why then is it allowed to be added to the toothpastes and drinking water of the Australian people?

Historically, this substance was quite expensive for the worlds’ premier chemical companies to dispose of – but in the 50’s and 60’s – Alcoa and the entire aluminum industry – with a vast overabundance of the toxic waste – SOMEHOW sold the FDA and our government on the insane (but highly profitable) idea of buying this poison at a 20,000% markup and then injecting it into our water supply as well as into the nation’s toothpastes and dental rinse. Yes that’s right folks, a 20,000% markup. Consider also that when sodium Fluoride is injected into our drinking water, its level is approximately 1 part-per-million (ppm), but since we only drink less than one percent of the total water supply, the hazardous chemical literally ‘goes down the drain’ and voila – the chemical industry has not only a free hazardous waste disposal system – but we have also PAID them handsomely in the process!!

Independent scientific evidence over the past 50 plus years has shown that sodium fluoride shortens our life span, promotes various cancers and mental disturbances, and most importantly, makes humans stupid, docile, and subservient, all in one neat little package. There is increasing evidence that aluminum in the brain is a causative factor in Alzheimer’s Disease, and evidence points towards sodium fluoride’s strong affinity to ‘bond’ with this dangerous aluminum (remember it is a byproduct of aluminum manufacturing) and also it has the ability to ‘trick’ the blood-brain barrier by imitating the hydrogen ion thus allowing this chemical access to brain tissue.

Honest scientists who have attempted to blow the whistle on sodium fluoride’s mega-bucks propaganda campaign have consistently been given a large dose of professional ‘black-listing’ and thus their valid points disputing the current vested interests never have received the ink they deserve in the national press. Just follow the money to find the ‘control’ and you will find prominent American families to be prominent ‘players’ in the scandal. In 1952 a slick PR campaign rammed the concept of ‘fluoridation’ through our Public Health departments and various dental organizations. This slick campaign was more akin to a highly emotional “beer salesman convention” instead of the objective, scientifically researched program that it should have been. It has continued in the same vein right up to the present day – and now sodium fluoride use has now become ‘usual and customary’ usually purchased from the cheapest bidders like China.

To illustrate the emotional vs. the scientific nature of this issue, just look at the response given by people (perhaps yourself included?) when the subject of fluoridation comes up. You need to ask yourself, “Is this particular response based on EMOTIONS born of TRADITION, or is it truly unbiased and based instead on thoroughly researched objectivity?” There is a tremendous amount of emotional, highly unscientific “know-it-all” emotions attached to the topic of ‘sodium fluoride’ usage -but I personally have yet to find even ONE objective, double blind study that even remotely links sodium fluoride to healthy teeth at ANY AGE. Instead, I hear and read such blather as “7 out of 10 DENTISTS recommend ‘fluoride’ toothpaste” etc. etc. etc. Let me reiterate: truly independent (unattached to moneyed vested interest groups) scientists who’ve spent a large portion of their lives studying and working with this subject have been hit with a surprising amount of unfair character assassinations from strong vested-interest groups who reap grand profits from the public’s ignorance as well as from their illnesses. (Just follow the money!)

When I met with the Australian ADA, even in private they still insist Fluoride is the answer to good teeth, then why are we forced to wash the car with it, bath in it and even worse pay for it. If it indeed was just about our teeth, could we not use it just for that, rather than be forced to drink it?

Do you have diabetes and/or kidney disease? There are reportedly more than 11 million Americans with diabetes the figures for Australia are nearly as high per capita. If it is true that diabetics drink more liquids than other people, then according to the Physicians Desk Reference these 10’s of millions people are at much higher risk drinking fluoridated water because they will receive a much deadlier dose because of their need for higher than normal water consumption. Kidney disease, by definition, lowers the efficiency of the kidneys, which of course is the primary means in which fluoride (or any other toxic chemical) is eliminated from the body. Does it not make sense that these people shouldn’t drink fluoridated water at all? Cases are on record (Annapolis, Maryland, 1979) where ill kidney patients on dialysis machines died because they ingested relatively small amounts of SODIUM FLUORIDE from unwittingly drinking the ‘fluoridated’ city water supply? Will adequate warnings be given to people with weak kidneys, or will the real cause of such deaths be ‘covered up’ in the name of ‘domestic tranquility’?

Concerning the ‘practice’ of putting sodium fluoride into drinking water, where did this insanity begin and WHO tried it first? From extensive research, the very first occurrence of purposefully putting sodium fluoride into drinking water was in the German ghettos and in Nazi Germany’s infamous prison camps. The Gestapo you see had little concern about sodium fluoride’s ‘supposed’ effect on children’s teeth; instead, their reason for mass-medicating water with sodium fluoride was to STERILIZE HUMANS and force the people in their concentration camps into calm, bovine, submission. (See for reference: “The Crime and Punishment of I.G. Farben” written by Joseph Borkin.) Kind of shocking isn’t it folks!! Ah, but it gets even worse.

The following letter was received by the Lee Foundation for Nutritional Research, Milwaukee Wisconsin, on 2 October 1954, from a research chemist by the name of Charles Perkins. He writes:

“I have your letter of September 29 asking for further documentation regarding a statement made in my book, “The Truth about Water Fluoridation”, to the effect that the idea of water fluoridation was brought to England from Russia by the Russian Communist Kreminoff. In the 1930’s Hitler and the German Nazis envisioned a world to be dominated and controlled by a Nazi philosophy of pan-Germanism. The German chemists worked out a very ingenious and far-reaching plan of mass-control which was submitted to and adopted by the German General Staff. This plan was to control the population in any given area through mass medication of drinking water supplies. By this method they could control the population in whole areas, reduce population by water medication that would produce sterility in women, and so on. In this scheme of mass-control, sodium fluoride occupied a prominent place.

“Repeated doses of infinitesimal amounts of fluoride will in time reduce an individual’s power to resist domination, by slowly poisoning and narcotizing a certain area of the brain, thus making him submissive to the will of those who wish to govern him. [A convenient and cost-effective light lobotomy? — Ott].

“The real reason behind water fluoridation is not to benefit children’s teeth. If this were the real reason there are many ways in which it could be done that are much easier, cheaper, and far more effective. The real purpose behind water fluoridation is to reduce the resistance of the masses to domination and control and loss of liberty.”

“When the Nazis under Hitler decided to go to Poland, both the German General Staff and the Russian General Staff exchanged scientific and military ideas, plans, and personnel, and the scheme of mass control through water medication was seized upon by the Russian Communists because it fitted ideally into their plans to communize the world.”

“I was told of this entire scheme by a German chemist who was an official of the great I.G. Farben chemical industries and was also prominent in the Nazi movement at the time. I say this with all the earnestness and sincerity of a scientist who has spent nearly 20 years’ research into the chemistry, biochemistry, physiology and pathology of fluorine — any person who drinks artificially fluorinated water for a period of one year or more will never again be the same person mentally or physically.”

Signed: CHARLES E. PERKINS, Chemist, 2 October, 1954.

Another letter needs to be quoted at length as well to help corroborate Mr. Perkin’s testimony. This letter was written by a brilliant (and objectively honest) scientist named Dr. E.H. Bronner. Dr. Bronner was a nephew of the great Albert Einstein, served time in a WWII prison camp and wrote the following letter printed in the Catholic Mirror, Springfield, MA, January 1952:

“It appears that the citizens of Massachusetts are among the ‘next’ on the agenda of the water poisoners.

“There is a sinister network of subversive agents, Godless intellectual parasites, working in our country today whose ramifications grow more extensive, more successful and more alarming each new year and whose true objective is to demoralize, paralyze and destroy our great Republic —- from within if they can, according to their plan — for their own possession.”

“The tragic success they have already attained in their long siege to destroy the moral fiber of Western life is now one of their most potent footholds towards their own ultimate victory over us.”

“Fluoridation of our community water systems can well become their most subtle weapon for our sure physical and mental deterioration. As a research chemist of established standing, I built within the past 22 years 3 American chemical plants and licensed 6 of my 53 patents. Based on my years of practical experience in the health food and chemical field, let me warn: fluoridation of drinking water is criminal insanity, sure national suicide. DON’T DO IT!!”

“Even in very small quantities, sodium fluoride is a deadly poison to which no effective antidote has been found. Every exterminator knows that it is the most effective rat-killer. Sodium Fluoride is entirely different from organic calcium-fluoro-phosphate needed by our bodies and provided by nature, in God’s great providence and love, to build and strengthen our bones and our teeth. This organic calcium-fluoro-phosphate, derived from proper foods, is an edible organic salt, insoluble in water and assimilable by the human body; whereas the non-organic sodium fluoride used in fluoridating water is instant poison to the body and fully water soluble. The body refuses to assimilate it.”

“Careful, bonafide laboratory experimentation by conscientious, patriotic research chemists, and actual medical experience, have both revealed that instead of preserving or promoting ‘dental health’, fluoridated drinking water destroys teeth before adulthood and after, by the destructive mottling and other pathological conditions it actually causes in them, and also creates many other very grave pathological conditions in the internal organisms of bodies consuming it. How then can it be called a ‘health plan’? What’s behind it?”

“That any so-called ‘Doctors’ would persuade a civilized nation to add voluntarily a deadly poison to its drinking water systems is unbelievable. It is the height of criminal insanity!”

“No wonder Hitler and Stalin fully believed and agreed from 1939 to 1941 that, quoting from both Lenin’s ‘Last Will’ and Hitler’s Mein Kampf: “America we shall demoralize, divide, and destroy from within.”

“Are our Civil Defense organizations and agencies awake to the perils of water poisoning by fluoridation? Its use has been recorded in other countries. Sodium Fluoride water solutions are the cheapest and most effective rat killers known to chemists: colorless, odorless, tasteless; no antidote, no remedy, no hope: Instant and complete extermination of rats.”

“Fluoridation of water systems can be slow national suicide, or quick national liquidation. It is criminal insanity ——- treason!!”

Signed: Dr. E.H. Bronner, Research Chemist, Los Angeles

Apparently, the public outcry by Dr. Bronner and others precluded the fluoridation of public water systems for a season – but soon thereafter, the Food and Drug Administration allowed this deadly poison to be put in ‘toothpaste’, and our dentists were systematically brainwashed into providing ‘fluoride treatments’ to their many patients. Of course, today many major metropolitan areas have a minimum of 1 parts per million sodium fluoride systematically added to their water supply and more areas are seeking to add this poison every year. Add to this the fact that bottling companies (soft drinks, juices, etc.) use fluoridated water to make their products – is it any wonder that people can no longer think clearly and ask pertinent questions of their elected and ecclesiastical leaders? Is it also a mystery why so many top Nazi mind control scientists were brought to America by the CIA and their infamous ‘Operation Paper Clip’?

If you believe all of this is ‘just a coincidence’ – go ahead and keep brushing your teeth with your ‘fluoride’ toothpaste and sucking on your sodium fluoride enhanced Coke or Pepsi product – for ignorance truly is bliss and you truly deserve what you get.

Mothers, if your little ones are having trouble concentrating at home or in school, or have been diagnosed as ‘attention deficit’ – perhaps you would be well advised to look for the culprit (and the solution to the problem) no further than your home medicine cabinet (your tube of toothpaste) and your friendly neighborhood school’s water fountain!!

In Australia alone Autism rates are up over 400% in the past few years alone, even worse are the figures for ADHA and Autism spectrum disorder, is it the vaccines or the simple glass of water.

Seek the Truth while the internet is still free, and forget the media as a source of honest information, because they are not, if it is labeled a deadly poison, it is, if the media sell it as our savoir, it most defiantly is not, any honest elected official that backs further investigation, finds their websites censored, or media bans like I endure, so please seek the truth.

Australia and the republic debate

May 22, 2011

The Republic of Australia by stealth

For many years there has been debate regarding Australia becoming a republic, in the most, the Australian peoples main argument against such a move is based solely on the Flag, and respect to the fact our forefathers fought under it.

The issue to the educated is based around exactly what such change would bring, what in fact would happen to our rights and liberties, electoral reform and democracy in general, and of course the mighty Australian flag.

I have yet to study the issue in any fine detail, so my position has swayed over the past decade, with sound arguments on both sides of the spectrum.

When one looks at the many issues associated with the Republican debate, it could be said we the people have no real choice in the issue, with what could be considered a republican supporter as our current PM, by way of her conduct, in fact the general conduct of the Labor party movement.

The commonwealth of Australia and the constitution on which it has been built, is already under attack from those one would expect to uphold its values, our current Prime minister and her predecessor, both refused to acknowledge the required constitutional oath required to take office, (section 42) an issue which could easily be seen as treason under our current rule of law.

The governor general as the queens representative would and should be well aware of the oath contained in the “schedule” of the constitution, yet knowingly ignored the fact when swearing in the Prime Minister. You tube clip attached

If the Australian Prime minister and the Queens representative can ignore the Constitution, one could conclude the its value has been diminished, several years ago, and in many cases since, when I have tried to use the constitution in the supreme court to defend out rights, the chief justice used the words “the constitution does not apply” yet it is the only document in our Country that implies any rights to the Australian people.

Legislative change continues to impede the protections we have under the constitution, as if parliament can change its terms at will, yet the only way in which we can enjoy any constitutional change is by way of a referendum of the people.

We now see whole states registered as corporations (Brigalow) rather than states of the commonwealth, we see government bodies that are now corporations, and Legislation that attacks the fundamental rights and values we would expect to be protected under our constitution.

“CONSTITUTION ALTERATION (JUST TERMS) BILL 2010” is just one of many attempts to change the constitution with out the support of the people, most state governments now have introduced legislative change that is ignorant of the constitution, so are we now already a quasi republic?

Most if not all the States now have their own “Constitution Acts”, which I can assure all Australians are very sad reading, as they seem to have forgotten to include and protections for the people, but rather are pieces of legislation designed solely to protect those that introduced them, some what akin to our electoral Acts.

In total there are 5 parts and 8 chapters of the constitution and the schedule, it is not hard to find proof that every section is being ignored by both parliament and the judiciary, the most alarming issue is if we are no longer protected by our constitution, do we have any laws of any kind left to protect our rights and Liberties?

Our signatory to the United Nations declaration of human rights, does not make such rights enforceable in any respect, the Human Rights and Equal opportunity Act, like wise has no standing in our courts or our parliament’s, and from all I have studied, we no longer have any constitutional protections, well unless we have the massive dollars needed to argue any case in the high court.

While Australia continues to remain “The great bluff of a commonwealth” or “The Quasi republic” it appears to currently have become, we the people not only deserve, but also must demand a bill of rights until we can sort out exactly what our country has now become.

It is said in a democracy the people rule, pretty hard to rule or even have a say, if we have no right’s to do so and those that we employ to protect our best interests are only interested in their own empowerment.

When living in a supposed democracy, the outcome of a general election is validated regardless of the conduct, when the parliament, the governor and the judiciary are ignorant of our written protections and there responsibilities to we the citizens of this once fine country, then change has past its due date.

Change may be happening every day by way of new legislation, but by who and to benefit whom, is the big question? It is certainly not to benefit the people of Australia, but we all know that!

Country electors deserve more

May 21, 2011

Where the bloody hells the country voice in Parliament?

Over the years many have asked me why our country regions are seemingly with out a strong voice in parliament, questions like, why water is taken from them first, even thought they are the food bowl of our country.

The answer is much more simple than most would like to think, It is all about representation, democracy and our electoral system, 2 party politics is entrenched in our political life, we have to preference every player and the 2 party preferred count ensures in a majority of cases the result to be one of the 2 major parties.

Party politics then ensures the biggest voice wins party policy, and Country South Australia will never have enough representatives to sway party policy in their direction, regardless of any good intention.

Those country regions that have enjoyed a strong voice in parliament are those who have taken the chance on Independent Candidates, because their voice is not muffled by party policy.

If the country community look at the state of their failing infrastructure and social services, the blame lays with consecutive labor and liberal governments over a very long period of time, not just the last decade or so, so it becomes evident that the 2 party system is failing regional Australia across the board.

It is time not only regional Australia but also their city counter parts took an informed look out side the box, in regards to the casting of their precious vote, to be honest our direction is so of track could taking a chance on an independent voice be any worse than the decision to vote as we always have, to stay on the same path?

From what I have seen the country electorate have nothing else to loose and little time left to pray the majors will suddenly deliver on their years of false promise, please for the sake of your future, become informed enough of your choices to make what little part your vote plays in our future, to he a truly educated one.

Aboriginals deserve seats in Parliament

May 21, 2011

Independent Candidate says “the indigenous community deserve an independent voice in parliament” lets make room for a new aboriginal parliamentary seat.

It is well past time the aboriginal community received an honest voice in Parliament, I am not talking about some quasi spokesperson from one of the existing political parties, in fact, I am suggesting a new upper house position/seat be made available.

Considering recent revelations regarding indigenous sovereignty, which sheds light on the validity of their sovereign rights over this land we like to call South Australia, should they not at least receive a voice in parliament, in fact we could easily argue more than one.

I do not believe that they should have to pledge allegiance to a foreign power, as it is more then fair to consider they are in fact the sovereign people of this land so the position should be one of an advisor, with the same voting rights and privileges as any other parliamentarian.

The candidate should be chosen by the vote of his/her people, in a similar fashion as that of any representative, through an honest democratic process, what better way to fully understand their people genuine wants and needs.

I am more than willing as an Independent Candidate for the Legislative Council to have a chosen member of our sovereign people sit along side me if I were to be elected, there are many debatable issues surrounding our aboriginal peoples rights, freedoms and associated support services, for which we should seek un biased parliamentary advise, what better way to achieve the truth?

Due to the huge numbers needed to elect a representative into say the upper house, it would not be feasible to expect them to be able to do so through the normal electoral process, so I would enjoy the idea, that by the next state election we could put in place a democratic system for the aboriginal community to elect their very own representation.

Such a move would ensure any future legislation received the input of our sovereign people, something any genuine democracy should enjoy, here is to opening honest and open debate on the ideal.

“Change is Necessary”

Disability and Mental health funding in disrepair

May 21, 2011

That punch line for those politicians, who can only see the shiny dollar, would be “for every dollar spent now, we save more than $100 in the future”. Yet even that does little to change the views of governments who see our long-term future as the period between elections. The rest of us as a compassionate society would consider the plight of our disadvantaged children tantamount or essentially a “Top Priority” when we consider issues like safety, quality of life and medical needs.

Who would you give the lifeboat to first, Politicians, industry leaders or your children?

While our governments flash the often-false promise of school buildings, tiny tax breaks and dodgy insulation schemes, they are using their left hand to steal from other services, leaving the biggest victims “Our Disabled Children and victims of abuse”, with out the urgent support they need.

Disability services, mental health support groups and similar services are not simply a little behind.  My findings are such that even if South Australia were to have their funding doubled tomorrow, we would “Still lag behind other States of Australia” which is nothing more than a bloody disgrace.

Our Federal government has had a free ride for too long now.  Simply because the kind people of this fine Country have scraped together donations to make up the short fall does not excuse their lack of commitment.  They need to realize the citizens of our Country can no longer afford to make up for all of their short comings, both in regards to inadequate funding and lack of services. It is time for our government to get their (our) priorities right.

If money is the only object are they too blind to see that investment now in support, equipment and services will save them (we the tax payers) a fortune in the future. We need to “enable” our children in order for them become a productive part of society, rather than be labeled a financial liability to our countries long-term future.

While Mental health services languish on a meager 6% of health service funding, the demand for services continues to rise as do expenses, well over 400 children on Novita SA, equipment waiting lists rated critical. (Novita have the job of supplying all equipment statewide) With the tiny budget of only $500,000 per year, those in need have a long wait if funding even remained steady let alone continuing in the wrong direction, so you all understand the situation. Less than 5 million would almost clear the waiting list, yet our government and the coalition are making unfounded promises, which still do not hit the mark.

What would we call it if a parent left a child in despair and discomfort, to spend all their savings on a plasma screen?

With demand for most health services rise in most cases to over 9.0% per annum and inflation running at over 3.5%, funding needs to be increased to keep up. A 13% urgent catch up is needed to bring South Australia into line with the other states and would require over a 50% increase in overall health care funding at a federal level. Which is not be on the agenda. A reasonable increase in overall funding with an emphasis on disability and mental health services is imperative.

The words critical, children and waiting lists should never occur in the same sentence full stop.  Many issues have raised their ugly head whilst investigating the funding and urgent needs of our precious children.  Most health services surveyed in South Australia appear to be of little priority to our elected officials.

Rather than considering leading the way, we seem to not even be following. “Social inclusion Campaigns” which have proved very successful overseas have not been embraced. Rehabilitation services are under resourced and underutilized. Even early intervention and stigma reduction ideas are falling on deaf ears.

When we consider mental health disorders comprise of 13% of the total burden of disease and their funding allotment is at around 7%, it is easy to see why the system is failing. Likewise great organisations like Novita whose funding has remained stagnant, are struggling to do their best to deal with not only a rise in costs, wages and other costs, they are also trying to cope with providing for increased demand for their many services. Maybe our representatives could choose which children are left on the critical lists?

Most recipients of government funding expect some financial input from their clients and members or have means testing in place, yet organisations like Novita offer their services free of charge.  They are simply there to support children in need so how dare this government not only deny them a fair share, but also reduce their funding commitments at a state level?

The facts are clear and very simple in that funding must be increased to meet both demand and community expectations.  The financial savings from early intervention and social inclusion/awareness campaigns far outweigh the costs of their denial in empowering our children to play an active role in society.

As I hold in my hand the recent apology to those harmed in state care, adorning our premiers signature, one line in the document stands out “Our apology is given in a spirit of reconciliation and healing and with our commitment to contribute toward a child safe environment in our Government, our churches and the broader community” There should be no more need for apology’s, yet deliberately depriving those most in need is not in the spirit of their promise.

Australia’s Rigged elections the cure

May 21, 2011

AUSTRALIAS RIGGED ELECTIONS “What the media do not want you to know!”

Elections in Australia over the past decade alone have endured many an attack on what we would hope is our most democratic right, that of a “free and informed vote”, so what really goes on?

As Australia’s most avid fighter for reform and a Fair Go for democracy, I have uncovered dodgier practices than any one of us would believe existed, yet most of the important issues are very much out in the open.

I will take the August 2010 Federal election as a perfect example, chief justice of the high court Murray Gleeson once said, “If change be necessary, it must be by the free will of an informed electorate” so lets look at the words “Free” and “Informed”.

A free vote is one not tainted by “You must attend” and “You must preference every candidate” the sole reason for such measures, is that in a 2 party preferred system, it is paramount that the ill informed attend, and mark their ballot, because the 2 party count then ensures the desired 2 party outcome, simply because they write the laws in their favor.

When and if this bias fails, they simply write new laws to combat the problem, as we have seen over the past decade, in the federal election, you will find blank boxes above the line, no chance the word Independent will be found, many minor parties were recently de-registered, the common law of elections regarding our rights have been attacked, and even laws to prevent us talking about elections on line were introduced.

Road safety initiatives for road side signs are ignored during elections, legislation has been written to ensure election promises do not have to be kept, and even worse the protections for we voters under the electoral acts, are now simply ignored on an increasing basis, as if compliance is some how optional.

So lets look at the conduct we now enjoy, your right to be informed is now out the window, neither the electoral commission nor the media are forced in any way to let you know who the candidates are, when it comes to knowing “how to vote” and what your rights and obligations are under the electoral acts, the Act does say the commission MUST ensure you do understand, but they simply ignore this obligation.

In the polling booths, the Act states there must be prominently displayed how to vote information, and also voting tickets (preference information), but the last two elections, none could be found. In any case there is not a chance in hell that many Australians could consider the electoral commissions have up held the law in regards to the public being adequately informed of their rights and obligations.

So now let us look at the conduct we have come to expect, Mobile polling is a service to aid our sick and elderly, in the state election 77 institutions were denied service, and I have several affidavits confirming undue influence and dodgy practices where service did occur, in plain English, our most vulnerable voters were denied their most basic rights, some telling us from the door to their room being asked Labor or Liberal, and the polling staff marking their ballot for them, they did not even get to see the ballot, 1 lady asked to vote greens, the response was they are not running, her grand daughter was a candidate.

Postal vote applications are now sent by the hundreds of thousands, and the return address in most is a major party head office, not the electoral commissioner, in the South Australian State election, such applications doubled, the affidavit I bluffed out of the electoral commissioner in court, shows over 7500 applications were found to be dodgy, and get this over 16,500 ballots simply went missing in SA alone.

When considering these numbers remember this, the state Labor party sent out many thousands of letters to the public, inside they had a reply paid envelope with the name of the opposition leader “Isobel Redmond”, so many voters sent back information they thought was going to the Liberal party, but every one ended back at the Labor parties head office, ask your self why.

So lets get down to the most sickening dodgy practices, Labor were caught dressing up as another party, and handing out dodgy “how to vote cards” but this has now become the norm, and the same happened at the federal election, is nothing bloody sacred.

Over 77,000 South Australian voters found their names no longer on the electoral roll, when they attended to vote, in most cases non were offered a declaration vote, seems the electoral commission sent out letters mid year, and if their was no reply, their names were removed from the roll, denying their right to vote, whoops entitlement, we have no enforceable rights in Australia.

Reports of dead people remaining on the roll were a concern, and the commission ignored people registered at non-existing addresses, and dare I go into the issues of multiple voting?

The many polling booth staff that confided in me after the state election, showed a clear picture that many of the tens of thousands of informal votes, were more so the result of mistakes rather than deliberately wanting their votes not to count, a direct result of demanding we preference every candidate, or the fact that how to vote information was absent.

What makes matters worse for our democratic freedoms is even the candidates themselves are denied contact details to ensure we can make informed preference deals, so even a vote for me, can end up where even I would not liked them to go.

Polling booth staff are meant to assist and police conduct on the day of an election, to ensure you are empowered to cast a valid vote, they have adequate stationary, all the polling booths have the required posters and that those handing out “how to vote cards” adhere to the law, but none of this happens.

No how to vote information or the prescribed posters were in the booths, in either the state or Federal elections from reports I received, and what I personally saw, how to vote cards were let in cubicles against the law, posters and those handing out how to vote information were doing so in defiance of the law, and booths at both elections ran out of ballot papers.

In the state election people simply missed out on voting, but here is an interesting new story about election conduct, in the state election if you made a mistake you could simply cross it out, during the federal election voters were handed a rubber.

So ask your self why we are handed a piece of paper and a pencil, rather than say a pen, or a secure electronic devise?

The laws will be re-written again in the next couple of years, to ensure more power to the 2 party system, and the JSCEM (Joint standing committee on electoral matters) will probably again find the people are not happy, and as usual the parties will ignore their recommendations and the reform we the people demand.

So what do we do about it, the media WILL NOT make this public, not a single provable fact, the only ones who can now back my ideals for reform, are the people, but how do we get their attention?

So here are the simple reforms we need;

  • A Booklet to every home that explains how to vote, who the candidates are, their contact details and a brief of their ideals
  • Bring in optional preferential voting, so we do not have to preference those we oppose
  • Modify the counting of ballot papers to favor the most preferred rather than the current 2 party count.
  • Demand an Independent body to oversea electoral reforms and police the conduct of elections
  • Bring those who are involved in dodgy practices to account
  • Supply the electorate with Pens, and do not allow mistakes to be crossed out, rather replacement ballot papers, so the voters intention is clear.
  • Ensure adequate stationary and equipment is in the polling booths, and ensure it is displayed correctly.

How simple is that? The major parties will still enjoy media favoritism, and huge taxpayer dollars to out perform the minor players, but at least the results will be democratic, so ask yourselves, why I doubt we will ever see such reforms?

I bet you guessed it right!
